Professional Quilter

I was bitten by the sewing bug in my 7th grade home economics class and have tried to never be too far from a sewing machine ever since. My quilting journey started in 1992 when I discovered a quilting store near my new job. In 2004 I made the decision to purchase a longarm machine so I could enjoy my quilting passion even more. When we made the investment in my A-1 Elite machine, I knew I would only be doing my own work until I could really devote the time to refine my skills and feel worthy of taking in the creations of others. My years of piecing taught me how satisfying it is to admire a totally finished quilt and feel the satisfaction of having created a work of art. Those years also taught me how challenging it can be to do quilting on a domestic sewing machine. The more I worked with the longarm, the more I realized what I might be able to contribute to the quilting community.

When the opportunity came to leave my original career in corporate America, I realized it was my chance to start something new. So I began focusing my energies on expanding and enhancing my skills in longarm quilting. I have completed training at Longarm University in Seattle and contributed hundreds of hours completing quilts for local and regional charities. Now I am enjoying enhancing the beauty of the quilts my customers entrust to my skills. Being able to spend my days doing a craft I love is a dream come true.
